Boiler Service Explained

What does a Boiler Service include?

An annual boiler service from 24|7 Home Rescue is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer and includes a visual inspection, removal of the boiler case, a flue check, gas pressure check, firing up the boiler, a carbon monoxide test and issuance of a service report. Please note, a CP12 Gas Safety Certificate is only issued as part of our Landlord Gas Safety Inspection and is not included in the standard one-off boiler service.

When can I book a Boiler Service?

Boiler services are scheduled between April and September, so our engineers can prioritise emergency breakdowns during the colder winter months. Contact us to schedule your boiler service appointment at a time that suits you.

How old does my boiler have to be to get an Annual Boiler Service?

Boilers do not have a minimum age limit to get an annual boiler service. Whether the gas boiler is new, or old, they all will benefit from an annual gas boiler service to help keep them efficient, to minimise faults and to reduce the risk of unexpected breakdowns. Regular servicing is even more crucial for older boilers because components wear over time and a yearly boiler service by a Gas Safe registered engineer is an essential element in maintaining the safety of your boiler.

Can landlords get an Annual Boiler Service policy and the CP12 certificate?

Yes, if you are a landlord, you can get an annual boiler service policy from 24|7 Home Rescue, which includes the CP12 certificate.
